Missy W. Larsen

Senior Director of Government Relations and Corporate Partnerships, doTERRA

Missy W. Larsen recently joined doTERRA after serving as Chief of Staff to Utah Attorney General Sean D. Reyes. Immediately upon taking office in 2013, AG Reyes appointed Missy as Chief Communications Officer and soon after, Chief of Staff to manage policy issues, office administration, community outreach, and partner alliances. Results of her work are seen today in a successful and forward moving office.

In 1991, Missy launched her career as Press Secretary for the late U.S. Congressman Bill Orton (UT, 3). In 1994, she solely launched INTREPID Public Relations focusing on technology, travel and leisure, non-profit, political, crisis management, and brand awareness clients and campaigns.

In 2004, as a means to balance work and family, Missy left INTREPID and started MWL Communications where she represented some of Utah’s most valued businesses and organizations at their request. And, after mentoring a Somali-Bantu refugee family, Missy co-founded the Utah Refugee Coalition (now Utah Refugee Connection) in 2009. Today the organization connects refugees and refugee providers with needed resources and volunteers.

Missy currently chairs the statewide SafeUT Crisis and Tip Line Commission and the Utah Refugee Connection board, serves as Vice President of Government Relations for the Boy Scouts of America Greater Salt Lake Council, and serves on the Anti Bullying Coalition and the Hale Centre Theatre Board. She has served on numerous boards over the past 25 years and continues to volunteer as a refugee mentor. She is also a member of the Salt Lake Interfaith Roundtable.
