Tom Jacobson is an experienced business lawyer. During his exciting career, Tom has served our country as a Judge Advocate in the Air Force space and missile program, devoted 30 years in a law firm as one of its principal partners and served his community in many capacities, including currently serving as a Commissioner of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, the Board of Trustees of Utah Symphony/Utah Opera, the Heber Valley Railroad and other organizations. Tom has been appointed by Governor Gary Herbert as one of founding members of the Utah Israel Economic Council, a group of Utah businesses dedicated to importing and exporting business opportunities between The State of Israel and Utah. He has been a participant on trade missions of the State of Utah and other organizations promoting Utah business opportunities. Tom is a graduate of Utah State University and the University of Utah Law School. He has participated in completing complicated international transactions and assisted businesses with commercial transactions and obtaining entitlements for development. Tom was lead counsel on the Newmark Superfund environmental litigation and has been involved in other large environmental litigation projects. Tom is a member of the state bars of Utah, California and Texas and has sat as a Judge Pro Temp. in California. As one of the members of the Board of Utah Israel Economic Council, Tom is working to increase the awareness of the favorable Utah business climate. Tom is a resident of Park City.
